My Hong Kong & Macau Trip - Day 5

8 November, 2008
Today going to be the last day of our trip in HK. However, there is still one more destination that we haven't visited - Disneyland.
As usual, we planned to have a heavy breakfast to save the spending on food in Disneyland later.
We all missed the congee that we had in the first day. So we go and try again.
Besides that, we also tried Wan Tan Mee. I like it! The noodle is very Q and the Wan Tan is so filling with a big, juicy and fresh prawn. Just that the soup is so "Ajinamoto" :)

Now, we took the train straight to Disneyland station! After step out from the train, immediately you felt you are entering a imaginary fantasy world. Yes, the station do "Disney". We take another Disney themed train and straight ahead to the imaginary world. We were expecting even more suprise when we land the fantastic world later!
After 15 minutes ride...Here we are! Hong Kong Disneyland! All the way, this place had kill a lot of our GigaByte.
The whole land consists of The Main Street, U.S.A, Advanture Land, Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land.
We went to the first spot - the Advanture Land. The Festival of the Lion King show was going to on stage a couple of minutes later. We have to squeezed with a lot people in order to get in the theater that we won't miss the show. It was a fascinating show that transformed the animated "The Lion King" into a theatrical extravaganza. The heroic journey of Simba from cub to king is staged in an eye-popping pageant of color, music, audience-participation and Disney magic. A performance that you don't want to miss.
After the show, we headed to Tarzan Island. We ride on a engine driven raft to get to where Tarzan live. It is like the animation of Tarzan come to live with the animation's characters and gadgets display all over the island.

We had a Jungle River Cruise which cruise the classic river voyage of adventure. We entered into the jungle. We were facing a lot of beasts such as such as hippos, elephants, cobras and orangutans. Well not real beast but machine. :)

We walked through the Liki Tikis - the mishchievous totem poles. They playfully squirt water on unsuspecting passersby. It is show on the picture on left. Not far away was the Street Entertainment which there will have a magical merrymakers performing: Jungle Puppet Carnival, Enchanted Village Drummers, Tam Tam Drum Circle or Jammin' Drum Adventures. Somehow, we missed it (I believe). We only saw a man in costume hitting drum, as we can see from the picture ont he right.
Well, we had now entered into Fantasy Land. We had toured into a souvenir shop to see what we can have for our beloved one when we back from the trip. Every one carried number of wrapping bag when step out from the store. I had bought for mine too.
Just in front of us was the Mickey's PhilharMagic Theater. This theater featurering a three-dimensional journey through some of the memorable moments in Disney animated film. This was my first time experience three-dimensional movie wacthing. It was like the everything on the movie just in front of your eye and are able to touch it or catch it, but in fact it is not. Cool!
Ok, I have to admit that Fantasy Land are most for children and it not my taste thought! A lot of "play ground" stuff like Mad Hatter Tea Cups, Cinderella Carousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Fantasyland Railroad Station, Sword in the Stone, Snow White Grotto and lots more. Ok, it is like Thema Park with themed Disney characters.
We queued on a long line to catch a ride to tour "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" land.

We had rushed to catch another theater show - The Golden Mickeys at Disney's Storybook Theater. We found out that theather show are worth to pay visit and we don't want to miss any. Yes, didn't! :) Here, we met most of the Disney animated file characters from Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast...etc. We were not allow to catch photo in this threater. Sad!
This theater show end our trip in Fantasy Land. Next realm to enter is Tomorrow Land. Stitch Encounter was the very first to visit as the time just right for us to enter after step into this land. We were facing a monitor screen with Stitch in it and yet suprisingly, he can communicate with the audience and we can talk to him as well. It was fun!
It's parade show! Nothing much to tell, let the pictures tell you all!

We got a lot of spare time until the fireworks which we don't want to miss. Some of my friends decided to have carousel, roller coaster...etc to kill the time.
I personally felt uncomfortatble, felt like I'm dehydrated. So decided to walk on the street and window shop. Janice was with me. While walking, we saw Disney Characters here and there for photo shot. So we quickly line up and start our mission to have photo with each of the character :)

The fireworks show started at 1900. We did capture a lot of picture of the show. Well, I personally felt that it is not nice to watch fireworks on a static picture, but not for video right! Then I decided to upload a video clip to youtube. Here is the 3 minutes fireworks of HK Disneyland video clip that we took!

The fireworks marked the end of the day for this magical world. Everyone is rushing toward the train station. We decided to have few walk againt in the USA themed street and catch some night view photo before call an end to our journey of HK Disneyland!
